Ants’hillvania

Ants’hillvania is a Sparrow Records production that was written by Jimmy and Carol Owens with Cherry Boone O’Neil and produced by Dan Collins. It is well known for being full of “Ant”-puns. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Album for Children for the Grammy Awards of 1981.[1]

It uses the Bible’s, “Parable of the Sower,” and, “Parable of the Prodigal Son,” to tell the story of a colony of ants and the misadventures of a particular ant named Antony. Antony’s story was continued in the sequel titled Ants’hillvania II: The Honeydew Adventure.

The Flying House, full title Time Classroom: Adventures of The Flying House (タイム教室 トンデラハウスの大冒険, Taimu Kyōshitsu: Tondera Hausu no Daibōken?), is an anime television series produced by Tatsunoko Productions in JapanChristian Broadcasting Network in the United States.[1].

Come visit a house that flies back in time, carrying an absent-minded professor, three fun-loving kids, and a quirky little robot to action-packed adventures in biblical times. “Flying House” transports the viewer to the ancient biblical kingdom of Israel to meet people and witness events that changed the course of history. Fantastic miracles, intriguing characters and exotic locales fill every episode as the time-travelers take part in great moments from the Bible. They also learn meaningful lessons about love, kindness, honesty and other important values that change their lives. “Blast Off for the Past” — Three young adventurers, Justin, Angie, and Little Corky, discover an unusual old house in a forest. The house, owned by a friendly scientist, professor Bumble, with his robot named SIR (for Solar Ion Robot), is actually a time machine. The professor uses a lightning storm to catapult the house back in time. In this episode, the children witness the birth of John the Baptist. “Star-Spangled Night” — Professor Bumble, Angie, and Corky with the robot set off for Bethlehem in search of the Christ Child that Mary was about to bear. King Herod sends his soldiers to kill every boy-child under two years old. When the soldiers come to Mary’s manger, Angie diverts them, giving Mary and Joseph time to escape. “Lost and Found in Time” — The flying house travels outside of the town of Nazareth. The children experience a young Jesus in the Temple, amazing the elders with his spiritual wisdom. “Voices in the Wilderness” — A miscalculation in time-travel plops the travelers in the middle of the Jordan River. The children witness John baptize Jesus in the river.
