Back in 1983 God gave a group of people a vision for changing peoples lives by showing them what he has called them to be. His Sons. Starting out as a home church type meeting in their apartment. The fellowship of believers grew quickly as the God began open peoples eyes to the reality of who they are in Christ.

Soon the meetings out grew the apartment and they moved to this location in Beaverton, Oregon:

The meeting place of believers was called New Creation Christian Center.  The attendees quickly grew and many signs and wonders were done by God at every service.

After about 10 years of being at that location the Owners of that property decided take it back. When we first moved into the property it had been flooded and was severally damaged. Many people volunteered their time and effort restoring the building. We gladly “sowed” all the time and work put into that building when the owners took back their property. This was Gods way of starting to change and prune this group of believers into more of what he wants them to be.

We moved to Mary WoodWard Elementary School and stayed there for about 5 years. At this time we decided to change the name of the group of believers to Celebration Christian Church.

After enjoying the time at that school we moved to West Hills Christian School. These times of moving around were vital to God’s plan for this congregation of believers.

Moving from West Hills God completely opened the flood gates of his vision for us as a congregation. Moving us to a city centered location. Deep into the heart of the city, into the midst of the spiritual oppression that plagues Portland.

Portland is filled with a spiritual atmosphere of false identity. Many people are lost and looking for who they are. They want to find themselves and  try on different identities in hopes that one will work.

God has put us in the heart of the city to be the light that needs to be shined; to show people his calling for them. We have been given a mission to show the world who Jesus Christ is, and to be the love that this city desperately needs.

We hope you can come join us and take part is this wonderful life that God has bestowed upon us through his son Jesus Christ.
